[CNMO news] IC insights, an international semiconductor market research enterprise, recently released a forecast that: "among the 33 IC (integrated circuit) products classified by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics Association (WSTS), 25 products will have negative sales growth this year. In particular, the sales of DRAM and NAND flash memory will be reduced by 38% and 32% respectively compared with last year, and the reduction scale is twice the expected reduction of the overall semiconductor market (15%)

At present, DRAM and NAND flash memory chips are the main products of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, and their combined share in the DRAM market has reached 74.4% in the world. Among them, Samsung Electronics has a market share of 45.7%, SK Hynix has a market share of 28.7%, and in the NAND market, the two together account for 46%. Recently, SK Hynix announced that it would further reduce the production of NAND flash memory and said that it would further increase the proportion of production reduction to more than 15%.

Although the semiconductor market is full of uncertainty, IC insights predicts that the market scale of display drive semiconductor (DDI) and programmable logic device semiconductor (PLD) will increase by 19% and 10% respectively this year. At the same time, the semiconductor industry related to the four industrial revolution, such as artificial intelligence and autopilot, will also increase significantly.
